About JoAnn Fanning
Legal Assistant
JoAnn greatly appreciates the opportunity to assist people with their estate planning needs since joining the talented team at Beck & Lenox. She brings seven years’ experience working in estate planning law as well as corporate and guardianship law in Southeast Missouri. She recently relocated to be closer to her children and their extended families. She has two married sons and four grandchildren who are the heart and center of her world.
JoAnn attained an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology with honors from Mineral Area College and is continuing her education through Central Methodist University to achieve her Bachelors. She also worked in a skilled nursing facility as an Assistant Activities Director leading and organizing resident’s activities and the facility’s respite care program. That truly brought much joy as the residents were delightful and were like grandparents to JoAnn. During that tenure, she received onsite training regarding Alzheimer’s and Dementia conditions.
JoAnn has trained and volunteered as a Missouri State Ombudsman, becoming the voice of those who could not speak for themselves. She has taught basic computer skills to senior citizens living in Southeast Missouri and is a proud member of an Elks Lodge. In her personal time, Joann loves exercise, music and enjoying watching local bands perform as well as large concert venues, hiking, motorcycles, traveling and reading.
