Jayson (Jay) B. Lenox practices primarily in the areas of estate planning and elder law. He typically deals with Medicaid planning, asset protection planning, long-term care crisis planning, the preparation of living trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney, asset protection trusts, probate and trust administration, guardianships, and applications for VA Aid & Attendance and Medicaid Benefits.
Mr. Lenox regularly presents seminars to the general public concerning VA Aid & Attendance Benefits and Medicaid Benefits, the use of trusts for asset protection planning purposes and the growing importance of Elder Law.
Over the last 33 years Mr. Lenox has written thousands of wills and trusts for clients throughout the state. He is an accredited agent of the Veterans Administration and works with veterans and families in obtaining Veteran’s Aid and Attendance benefits. Throughout his career, Mr. Lenox has tried 86 jury trials to conclusion and handled hundreds of mediations representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Additionally, he has served as mediator himself.
After graduation from the University of Missouri law school with a Juris Doctor Degree in 1991, Mr. Lenox became a member of the Missouri Bar and then passed the Illinois Bar as well. In 2014, he became the Judge for the city of New Melle. Mr. Lenox previously served as assistant prosecutor for the city of St. Peters and city attorney for the city of Foristell.
Mr. Lenox is a member of the Missouri Bar, the St. Charles County Bar, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the American Bar Association. He is on the Board of Directors for Unlimited Play, Show Me Aquatics, and the Barnes-Jewish St. Peters & Progress West Foundation. Mr. Lenox is also a past president and director for the St. Charles Kiwanis.
Mr. Lenox is a graduate of St. Charles West High School and native of St. Charles, where he currently resides. He and his wife, Kelly, have three children: John, who completed graduate school at American University and is working in Washington, D.C.; Katie, who graduated from Boston College and works in St. Louis; and K.C., who is a student at St. Joseph Academy.
Collectively, Mr. Beck and Mr. Lenox have more than 82 years of experience in the practice of Estate Planning & Elder Law.
