About Attorney Phil Ohlms

Phil Ohlms joined Beck, Lenox & Stolzer Estate Planning and Elder Law, LLC, in 2023 in an Of Counsel status after serving as a judge in the 11th Circuit Court for twenty-two years, the last fourteen of which was in the role of Probate Judge. Prior to becoming a judge, he was actively involved in private practice for twenty years. That practice included a substantial practice in Estate Planning, Trust & Estate Administration, as well as Guardianships and Conservatorships.
Mr. Ohlms graduated from the University of Missouri with both a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate. While a judge, he served on several committees that worked toward establishing state-wide standards for efficient court operations. Additionally, he has presented at both state and national conferences on current legal issues.
Mr. Ohlms was the inaugural recipient of the Juvenile and Family Treatment Court Leadership Award from the National Association of Drug Court Professionals in 2019. In 2009, he was certified as a Fellow of Science & Technology by the Advance Science & Technology Adjudication Resource Center in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Ohlms is pleased to work with attorneys Rudy Beck, Jayson Lenox and Caroline Daiker at Beck, Lenox and Stolzer. He looks forward to using his experience to help clients navigate the issues presented in both Estate Planning and Estate Administration.
Mr. Ohlms is a lifelong resident of St. Charles County and has been married to wife, Diana, since 1984. They have four children. He has been active in a variety of public and private committees since graduating from Law School and returning to St. Charles.
