About Attorney Matthew Fuhr

Matthew Fuhr joined the Beck, Lenox & Stolzer Estate Planning and Elder Law firm in 2025 as an Associate Attorney. He received his Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law in May 2025 and was sworn in to practice Law in the state of Missouri in October, 2025.

Prior to getting his law degree, Matt had received a Bachelor’s in Accounting, a Master’s in Accounting and then earned his CPA license. His career background has included being a Business Analyst for Boeing; a Forensic Accountant and Financial Manager for the Federal Bureau of Investigation; a Finance Manager at Mid-America Transplant; a Director of Finance with ColorArt, LLC, and Director of Finance for Ursuline Academy.

When asked what prompted him to go back to school for a law degree, Matt stated,
“Growing up in a law enforcement family, I have always had an underlying interest in the law.  My six years at the FBI furthered that interest. In all my prior work experience, I found the most fulfillment when I was able to help and be of service to others.  I saw this as an ideal pathway to leverage my skills and experience in a new way to provide a valuable service to others.”

Matt’s philosophy is to take the time to get to know people and their circumstances to ensure that any help he provides can be tailored to their specific needs and situations.  This includes making sure that a person’s questions are answered and that they feel comfortable with their understanding of the help and advice provided. He believes this approach will fit nicely with the small firm atmosphere here at Beck, Lenox & Stolzer that fosters the feeling that we are partners dedicated to helping our clients achieve their goals and give them peace of mind.

Matt and his wife will be celebrating their 20^th anniversary in 2026. Their four children keep them actively involved in both CYC/School and club sports, specifically soccer and football.  Outside of work and the kids’ sporting activities, the family likes to watch sports (English Premier League Soccer, Cardinal’s Baseball, Football, and Blues’ Hockey), cooking shows, play video games, and Travel.  Matt took his eldest daughter to Italy and Greece this past summer.
